Nachdem ich ja shcon berichtet hatte, dass MacOS X auf normalen Intel-PC’s (nicht nur Intel-Macs) läuft und Apple auch schon auf einen höflichen Kopierschutz setzt (da sie gemerkt haben, dass ihr total unknackbarer Kopierschutz doch nicht so unknackbar ist).

Jedenfalls hat dann Apple gemerkt, dass sie doch was unternehmen sollten. Und da sie scheinbar nicht an den ‘Hacker’ Maxxuss, der seine Webseite in Russland betreibt, herankommen, versuchen sie zumindest die Foren, in denen es Tutorials gibt, wie man denn das Betriebssystem auf seinem Rechner zum laufen bekommt, auszuschalten.
Das Flaggschiff der OSx86-Foren wurde zwar auch von den Anwälten Apples heimgesucht, hat es jedoch scheinbar gut überstanden. Vor ein paar Minuten gab es nun auch eine Stellungnahme der Betreiber des OSx86-Projects dazu:

Hey! I just thought I’d give you a quick update on what’s been happening lately with the site. As you may or may not know, we were contacted by Apple regarding some links to the Maxxuss patches, which resulted in a day of downtime and a lot of press. The forum is back online and we’re doing better than ever! (We had our highest post count ever two days ago.)

Forum users are busy discussing the new iMacs and MacBooks, as well as the new 10.4.4 patches from Maxxuss. We’re also adding to the large body of knowledge in the Genius Bar by the day. If you’ve got something that others should know, share it with the world there.

We’re also giving away my iPod just to say thanks to everyone for making the site what it’s become. You have until the end of this month to send in your nomination and make yourself known by posting! See the forum thread for more info.
