Ahree Lee from San Francisco had the idea to take one picture of herself every day. Starting in 2001 she has collected a great amout of pictures and made a movide out of it.

The idea is simple, the result is stunning. On November 1, 2001, artist Ahree Lee began taking daily digital snapshots of her own face; and she has continued this project every day since. In 2004, Lee compiled all of her daily images into a montage with a wistful musical score. In the fast-paced parade of images you’re about to see, each second of screen time represents about one week’s worth of pictures.

Ahree Lee is a graphic designer and experimental filmmaker based in San Francisco. A recipient of a 2005 Artist Fellowship Grant in film and video from the state of Connecticut, Ahree has had her films screened at festivals across the U.S. and Canada. She currently teaches graphic design at California College of the Arts, and has been a visiting critic in the design programs at SUNY Purchase, University of Connecticut, and Rutgers Camden. Ahree holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.F.A. from Yale School of Art.
